La Esmeralda is a new De La Finca Project Farm in the Comayagua region of Honduras. It was purchased in 2021 in order to continue experimental processing, specifically in this area of Central America. La Sampedrama is an under-promoted area in the Comayagua region with high altitude, volcanic soil, and a rich culture. With more control over the quality and consistency on larger experimental specialty lots, including varietals like geisha, pink bourbon, and parainema that will be coming in the next few years, La Esmeralda is already a worthwhile project for De La Finca and we are excited to be partnering with them on this current offering. 

We will be serving La Esmeralda in our shops as a single-origin offering,  both on pour-over and espresso, and we recommend either for your home brewing.
